“His skating is very capable for his size, though his closing speed could still use some improvement as he misses a lot of hit attempts still… He attacked the middle of the ice more this year, but because he only has average hands and he exposes the puck a lot before he’s ready to do something with it, the results were mixed at best. On the margins of the rink, Luke does a nice job putting his body between the puck and the defender to buy him some time and space. He does have a nice wrist shot and the release to go with it.” – (HockeyProspect, Black Book)

“Tuch is a power forward who has a good set of offensive tools and while none of his skating, shot or puck control skills are high-end, they’re all above average and allow him to affect the play in different ways.” – (FC Hockey, NHL Draft Guide)

“A heavy player who plays a heavy game, Tuch’s style is very similar to that of his older brother Alex, who also came up through the USNTDP program. Luke doesn’t quite have his brother’s hands, but they are soft enough for him to be a viable weapon around the crease… The Boston University commit can play with skill players, making space with his forechecking, but is most likely a bottom six contributor at higher levels.” – Ryan Wagman (Mckeen’s Hockey, NHL Draft Guide)

“Power forward that plays a skilled, physical game. A solid skater who generates good top end speed. Hard to knock off the puck. Protects it very well using strength and reach. A threat from in front of the net and the dirty areas. Can absolutely rip the puck.” – (Draft Prospects Hockey)
